Description
Let the slow rhythm of the horse’s gait become your own heartbeat. Imagine finally unplugging and finding yourself surrounded by the silence of the Brenta Dolomites, where the only sound is the rhythmic clip-clop of hooves on the ancient paths of the Valli Giudicarie.
This isn't just a tour; it’s an invitation to discover the sweetest side of Trentino: a land of fragrant pine forests, high-altitude pastures, and historic villages where time seems to have stood still.
A Slow Journey through Nature and History
Our adventure begins in Cavrasto, a small hamlet in Bleggio Superiore. Here, far from the hustle and bustle of mass tourism, you’ll meet your guide and your companion for the day: your horse. After a brief introduction to connect with the animal and learn the basics of riding, we’ll immerse ourselves in the green heart of the valleys.
We will ride for approximately 90 minutes through postcard-perfect landscapes until we reach the rural architecture of Rango. Crossing one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Italy" (Borghi più belli d’Italia) directly from the saddle offers a privileged perspective: you’ll feel part of an ancient story, moving between stone porticos and alleys that breathe centuries of farming tradition.
The Taste of Relaxation: A Mountain Snack at the Rifugio
After regenerating your spirit among the Dolomite views, it’s time for a little "treat" for the palate. Once the ride is over, a short 5km drive (using your own vehicle) will take you to a typical Trentino Rifugio. Here, the hospitality is warm and authentic: a genuine mountain snack (merenda), designed as a sweet embrace after your outdoor activity.
What awaits you for your snack:
- A selection of homemade cakes.
- Other local delicacies and farm-to-table mountain products.
- All served with a steaming coffee, a fragrant tea, or a natural local fruit juice.
Enjoy this moment of absolute relaxation al fresco during the summer or in the cozy warmth of the stube (traditional wooden room) during the colder months. This slow tourism experience will gift you an afternoon of peace that will linger in your memories forever.
More info about the Horseback Riding & Mountain Snack Experience
1. "It’s my first time on a horse, can I still participate?"
Absolutely! This excursion is designed specifically for those looking to approach horseback riding in total relaxation. Our horses are well-accustomed to people, and the ride is conducted primarily at a walking pace, the safest and most relaxing gait. Your certified equestrian guide will provide all the basic instructions before departure, ensuring a pleasant and stress-free experience.
2. "What if I am an experienced rider looking for something more dynamic?"
Fun is guaranteed for you too! Although the standard itinerary is relaxed, our guide is available to customize the outing. After booking, you can contact us via internal messaging to specify your level: we can then arrange different paces or minor adjustments to the route to make your ride in Trentino engaging and fun.
3. How does the visit to Rango and the snack at the rifugio work?
It’s a journey that blends nature and culture. During the ride, we will cross the heart of Rango, allowing you to admire its rural architecture directly from the saddle. After the excursion, you will reach the rifugio (about 5 km away, a 5-10 minute drive) for a typical snack based on local products. Please inform us of any food allergies or intolerances via internal messaging immediately after booking.
4. Are the stables dog-friendly?
We love animals and want your experience to be serene. To ensure everyone's peace of mind, on Saturdays and Sundays we offer a dedicated dog-sitting service (€10.00/hour, payable on-site) while you are riding. From Monday to Friday, however, the stables observe rest days for external pets; therefore, it is not possible to bring them along.
5. Is there free parking available?
Getting here is very easy: you will find ample free parking right upon arrival at the stables. If you prefer a "greener" option, the meeting point is also easily accessible via public transport.
